Fantastic Voyage is Fantastic!

This weekend I caught the end of the movie Fantastic Voyage which inspired me to play the 2600 game of the same name (via emulation). I must say that I was impressed! The game is quite challenging and has decent sound effects and graphics.

 

A little off topic - it reminds me of Caverns of Mars except that the screen scrolls down instead of up.

 

Any comments?

"Fantastic Voyage" is one of the better games by FOX, I was generally disappointed with their games but FV was one I like (I vote "M*A*S*H" as their best). Of course, I liked the movie, too, so maybe it's that.

I've always considered Fantastic Voyage a pretty standard shooter, though that doesn't really change that it's a good game (after all, "standard shooters" probably weren't common back in the days). As for 20th Century Fox games, I'd have to say that Fast Eddie is my favorite, and Spacemaster X-7 is good too

Heh one night i was watching Fantastic voyage on like the AMC channel then about 2 or 3 weeks later i saw the 2600 cart FV at a flea market and i got it thinking this ought to be a interesting game
