Normally I don't point out rediculous auctions but here I go

Recommended Posts

The description is O.K. Although putting a space between Coleco and Vision will draw less traffic.

The starting bid is a little bit high.

I would like to see more pictures, and a little better quality for that kind of starting bid.

I would prefer a slightly higher feedback rating for the seller.

I usually like to see the seller have been an Ebay member just a little longer.

I sometimes like to know an estimated shipping cost.

The "Sellers Payment Instructions" are very clear and concise.

Luckily he takes PayPal with all credit card forms of payment.

Take a look, and please don't outbid me.

The starting bid is a little bit high.

That is like saying "Pluto will be reached by humans within the end of the year".

I detect just a touch of sarcasm. :) I love this line,

Seller's payment instructions

Just send it to me how Ebay tells you to

Hello.  I won this auction for the start bid, but eBay told me to send you payment in loose pennies. Do you think I could get a discount due to the fact that it will cost me $285 to send you four hundred pounds of copper?  Thanks.

Just when you start thinking there's hope for the human race, eBay will change your mind every time.

If he gets a bid on that, I'll sell mine and start looking for a new one with the $425 I have to spare. Maybe I'll even bid on and actually win one of doubledown's mods. :D

Off topic: Does that generic layout's n64 controller hurt anyone else's eyes when you realize it's backwardly configured? :ponder:

On topic: I too would sell mine if someone bid on this, considering I got my (larger) set for $10. :D

Indeed, if he gets even a single bid on this, my collection is worth a grand easy. ;)

What about this one,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8151894933

Being curious, I send the seller this question:

"do you have a picture of this item? I am not sure exactly what it is."

This is the response:

The kit is a small red kit they call it a bird style. It is new and has ATARI ON IT.They made this in the 80s to promote Atari. It is very collectable.I have not seen new ones on line in a long time.

HUH?????

I was curious about the red kit too before I saw this thread and I too e-mailed him/her. I asked what kind of kit it was and what it looked like among other things. He/She responded that it was indeed a kit and that I should buy it for the cheap price that it's listed at. :dunce: I'll be mad if it turns out to be something genuinely rare, but I just can't buy it without a better description. :|
