He didn't ask what part of town you are from, what are you doing posting in this thread? I think Rick has a wall with Space Invaders on it, not sure what Red overlays are. kemsted #12 Posted December 7, 2004 Huh how strange, I live in wausau part of the year. How's the thrifting there, I couldn't find anything Terrible, theres maybe 5 within 20 miles of me and out of all of them, Ive found a few common genny, 2600, and NES games. Most of the prices are very high half the time too. Just the other day, I saw a NES with all the cords, a lightgun, 2 controllers, 5 common games, and they were all in a Nintendo plastic case thing and they wanted $70 for it! -kemsted
l3ushwig #13 Posted December 7, 2004 its a bit much but i just sold one of my many nes systems for 47.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESO:IT

SteveW #17 Posted December 8, 2004 Hey, I have this very same entertainment center! I shopped around for months to find one that had enough room on it to store all my consoles and fit my (then) new TV set. I just wish it had a couple extra shelves. I can always use more shelf space. BassGuitari #19 Posted December 10, 2004 Huh how strange, I live in wausau part of the year. How's the thrifting there, I couldn't find anything Most of the time it's bleak, but once in a while I'd have some really good finds. The Goodwill store there recently moved into the building next to Target...it's much bigger, but they didn't have anything when I was there over Thanksgiving. In the past I've found some decent Atari and Intellivision stuff (like Cosmic Corridor and Mind Strike respectively), bunches of boxed games, and even a minty woody 4-switch with about 30 games and a bunch of controllers. If you thrift often, you'll probably average 2 or 3 really good finds a year. And since I don't live there anymore, the chances are better for you guys! kemsted #20 Posted December 10, 2004 Yea, at the Goodwill by Target Ive found a couple of 2600 R2's, R3's, and R4's for $1.50. I also found a bundle of 2 working Indy 500 driving controllers and Indy 500 for $3.00. A friend of mine found the second version of SNES for $8. Its ok but I wish it were much better. SteveW #21 Posted December 11, 2004 A thrift I went to this afternoon had the second version of the SNES there. Is it somehow better than the original? I never was too much into Nintendo consoles, so I have no idea. Is it more collectable?
kemsted #22 Posted December 11, 2004 I dont think its any better than the original, just rarer and a little smaller I think. -kemsted
SteveW #23 Posted December 12, 2004 Eh, I think i'll pass on going back for it. I never had the slightest amount of interest in the SNES. If it was some kind of rarity, I'd pick it up just to show off, but otherwise, I'd rather not bother.
