AtariAger #1 Posted December 11, 2004 I talked to the seller...said he ended the auction for an $80.00 offer! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWA:IT
sku_u #2 Posted December 11, 2004 I guess the seller really wanted to get rid of his Atari crap.
adams_ale #3 Posted December 11, 2004 Serves the seller right for catering to side deals.

MegaManFan #5 Posted December 11, 2004 I guess the buyer got a free Atari with his Spike's Peak.
CPUWIZ #6 Posted December 12, 2004 I guess the buyer got a free Atari with his Spike's Peak. You mean Crazy Climber, right? Double enders aren't that expensive.
dvdguy #7 Posted December 12, 2004 What should the lot have gone for, out of curiousity? The Crazy Climbers I see online don't seem to sell for much lately.
dvdguy #8 Posted December 12, 2004 In looking at the auction, there are three Xonox carts listed. So Spike's Peak COULD be the single-ender. There seems to be no way to tell from that photo.

dvdguy #10 Posted December 12, 2004 Yep, that's the one in question.
demarrez #11 Posted December 12, 2004 Why highlight someone's side deal? If I made that side deal, I would say "go work hard and make your own side deal." And if I resell it for profit, is it not better that the profit go into my pocket instead of a non-collector?
AtariAger #12 Posted December 12, 2004 And if I resell it for profit, is it not better that the profit go into my pocket instead of a non-collector? I'm a little sick of this now...To buy these collectible games just to make a profit...you know what...Go "F" yourselves...some people just look to make money off these gems, while others look to collect them for the joy of it! I really don't care how much flack I get off this post...because anyone who lays it on me knows it is true! I have never bought a game, just because it was a good buy...so I might sell it later! I'm done talking about it now...just PM me if you need any further explanation!
dvdguy #13 Posted December 12, 2004 But what if it was a collector who bought it and needed those rares for his/her collection?
SS #14 Posted December 12, 2004 But what if it was a collector who bought it and needed those rares for his/her collection? Better, I guess, but side deals still suck.
MegaManFan #15 Posted December 12, 2004 Amen. And the more publicity rare carts get, the more likely somebody will talk the seller into side dealing. Half the shit I watch ends up closing earliy, which is why I get frustrated. It's not you personally jax, it's how much of a pain it is to get these games when eBay sellers and buyers have no scruples.
