beattheindierock #2 Posted November 28, 2001 Yikes. I feel for you. I treasure each and every cart of mine like it were some sacred treasure (even the commons!) I think the best way to prevent that is to find some kind of sane way to organize your carts. I am kind of anal about it lastic bags on every cart, alphabetical order, etc. I will be heading out to a landfill near you, however.

King Atari #4 Posted November 29, 2001 Ouch. I don't know what I'd do if I did that, but I don't have anything rare enough to worry. Hope you find it, though. Good luck.
ATARIPITBULL #5 Posted November 29, 2001 Sorry to hear about the bad news Atari70s, but in 1984, when we moved to my new house, I could not find my 2600 system, so I asked my mother if she knew were it was and she said she threw it out with some other trash because I had not played with it for so long, she thought I did not want it anymore. (So I know how you feel).
atarigamer #6 Posted November 30, 2001 Been There, done that. My mom threw away some of my stuff once, because she said I never played with it. I actually went through the trash can to get it . Then I took a shower and then I played my almost lost items .
atari70s #7 Posted November 30, 2001 FYI cart is now located. i took a drive to the dump . and asked abotu a baseball cube box and some guy took it out and placed it in a bin where they hold interesting and maybe valueable stuff. ( i guess those people do go though the trash). its a local place by me. they made me pay 5.00 to go though the bin to see if there was anything i wanted. all you can carry out 5.00 B******** was my reaction so i shelled out 5.00 and lowandbehold. my baseball cube and game at the bottom next to some icky spice girl pins so i left with my game i washed out the baseballcube itself. and i took home a bag full of baseball cards. i found somethign good in that bag but it wasnt atari so i wont get into it( 1 mantle card beat up (part of back sheered off)and like 20 jeters ).i know the mantle isnt worth anythgin since half the back is missing. but still. i got my 2nd mantle . They had some Green NES carts with sticker labels i passed on them cause i figured it wasnt worth anything.

ubersaurus #10 Posted November 30, 2001 I think you may have found some unlisenced games, or pirates. Either way, I think that's an oddity needing further attention.

ubersaurus #15 Posted November 30, 2001 Hmm..Zelda games were in Gold cases. Maybe some of those green ones are gold zeldas who've lost their luster, I dunno. I'd need to see them myself.
beattheindierock #16 Posted December 1, 2001 Regardless, I would snatch those NES games up with the quickness. For 5 bucks, you never know.

King Atari #18 Posted December 1, 2001 70's, Man, that is lucky, they actually had it. Glad to hear you got your game back. As for green NES carts, I've only seen gray, black, and gold, so can't help you there, but I'd pick them up FAST (what's up with italics today?). Genki #19 Posted December 1, 2001 I think those green case may actually be the light blue Color Dream games. I have a few that has turned to a shade of green after prolonged exposure to sun. All were former rental carts.
StanJr #20 Posted December 1, 2001 All of those pesky "Bible Adventures" (yes I'm serious, these exist) NES games were in aqua colored carts. I'm not sure they could be mistaken for green, but perhaps....
