Atari BMX Air Master question...

Recommended Posts

The two variations are distinguished by the 2 labels? Red being the rare and white being the more common?

I just got the Red Label version and have never gotten it before... It looks exactly like the one pictured on the rarity guide here. (minus the black marker)

I actually have purchased another one too... but it might be PAL. (not arrived yet)

Sorry if this is a dumb question. What confuses me is that both of my copies (white and red) say TNT on them...

Thanks!

Theres a PAL version of BMX Airmasters!?!?!?!

Anyway, TNT produced the game, but it was manufactured both by Atari then later (I think) by TNT.

I love this game....

How can you tell if a game is PAL or not? this game doesnt seem to have any indication on the label...

BTW if anybody has a PAL copy of this game then Ill gladly trade it for my NTSC copy (TNT white label).

Does anyone have a dump of the PAL ROM image? I was going to compare them, but I don't seem to have one in my "All 2600 ROMs" folder.

I have fixed the TNT and Atari BMX Airmaster entries so the wrong label isn't being displayed with the Atari entry, and the TNT entry now has both label variations. I also updated the TNT entry on the 2600 Label Guide page to reflect these three variations. Does anyone have the Atari version they could scan so we can update the Atari entry with an image of this Red label variation? Thanks for pointing out our mistake Ben!

The TNT picture label version was also distributed by HES in PAL format. In that version the scroller text ends with 'GDAY', so that's how you can identify this version.

The scroller also says that the game was written by Sculptured Software. Didn't this company also do some of Atari's 7800 ports? This might be how Atari got to release BMX Airmaster too. I think there is a member on this message board who works for what used to be that company now. Maybe he can find out more about this game?
