EASY, FAST AND BEST WAY TO HOOK UP A 2600 READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Radio Shack has these adapters that will hook your Atari 2600 straight to the cable input on your t.v. You don't have to have the t.v./game switch box. The way mine plays is GREAT. I think the price is $1.99 or $2.99. I have one still in the package with the item #, but I can't find it, when I do I'll post it. These little adapters are worth their weight in gold (my personal opinion). It's at least worth a try for better picture and sound.

The baseball bat is for disposing of that old, crappy switch box, right? ;-)

I highly recommend this connection method, too. In fact, I even added a coaxial A/B switch box to my setup, so toggling between television and Atari is easier and more reliable than ever.

Wow! I may actually consider buying this thing and hooking up my Black Vader 2600 which has been in storage for over 10 years! I can't stand the old switchbox method and anything that will make the hookup process faster/easier is worth the price it costs.

I wonder if my 2600 still works....
