Adrian M #1 Posted December 2, 2001 I've been playing this on the Stella Mac emulator and have no idea what the ultimate goal of the game is. Can someone explain?
Tempest #2 Posted December 2, 2001 You have to shoot the bad guys and then you have to quickly zip around to the other side of the screen and catch it again. Every bad guy that gets by you causes the little meter at the top of the screen go down a bit (if it goes all the way down you loose). Every now and then a runt will escape from the center cage, you need to go catch him before he runs into the walls and dies. To move to the side sections push left or right into the walls. Adrian M #3 Posted December 2, 2001 Aha! I'm playing it again and it now makes sense! Thanks Tempest!!
liveinabin #4 Posted December 2, 2001 The aim of Quadrun is to :- a) find a copy b) display on shelf / at swapmeet c) attract impressed / envious looks from fellow collectors I think that's about it, though I hear if you actually (god forbid) remove the cart from the box and actually have the blasphemous audacity to insert it in a common 2600, there is some kind of game, not sure what though. Tempest #5 Posted December 3, 2001 I play mine all the time. Came with the instructions too which uptil last month were sitting under a pile of common games. I'm not afraid to actually touch my rare games, everything from prototypes to River Patrol get's shoved into my 2600. Tempest
The Night Phantom #6 Posted December 3, 2001 The point/goal of Quadrun is to show off voice synthesis on the 2600 and to incorporate a shooting strategem in an offbeat way. Have fun!

Cassidy Nolen #8 Posted December 3, 2001 I think the goal is for non collectors to have substantive proof you have lost your mind for spending that much money. I am looking forward to bringing mine to PhilyClassic just to show it off. Honestly, Kaboom and Warlords get a lot more playtime on the 51 inch than this one does! I am with Tempest, play em if you got em (unless of course, they are sealed....) Cassidy

I'd drink to that, if I could afford it. And I do play my rare games (Lynx Loopz, anyone?), but not the shrinkwrapped ones. E
