Zybex #1 Posted December 17, 2004 This poor cartridge is affected by the direct sunlight, for several weeks!

ActionGeek #5 Posted December 17, 2004 Speaking of odd Activision carts... (This may sound stupid, but bear with me...) I've noticed that there are the REGULAR Activision carts with pic of game, name, etc. THEN there are the blue labeled carts. But I found recently a copy of Keystone Vapers that had a different style of plastic box altogether and a different vintage-looking label that was still OFFICIALLY an Activision game, but was of a style I'd never seen before. Is this a rare find? Any more value to this style of Activision cart that any other? Anyone else seen any games as I'm describing?
Voch #6 Posted December 17, 2004 The blue label games are a little rarer than the standard Activision carts, but they're not necessarily hot commodoties AFAIK. Here is the AtariAge page on the Activision titles (found by going to AtariAge.com, clicking "2600" under Systems on the left, clicking "Companies", and scrolling down and clicking "Activision"). ActionGeek #7 Posted December 17, 2004 I can't believe I might have an Atari cart in my possession that AtariAge doesn't even have pics or a mention of. I'll take a pic of this Keystone Cops game next week... It's not a ble cart, a reg cart or the "???" white cart listed on the AtariAge Activision list. Christophero Sly #8 Posted December 17, 2004 Does it say 'Keystone Kapers' on the label?
ActionGeek #9 Posted December 17, 2004 It's so definitely NOT a bootleg or a knockoff or anything like that. It just has a more prestige / vintage / 20s kinda look / feel to the label design. It screams Activision in every sense. I'm just surprised that this is such a rarity... hmmm...
pinball22 #10 Posted December 17, 2004 Are you sure it's a 2600 cart? Does the pic look like the 5200 one in the database? I'm not sure which label the ColecoVision one used, and I can't seem to find a pic of it...
ActionGeek #11 Posted December 17, 2004 I'll take a pic of this KeystoneCops game next week. read above again. Yes it's a 2600 game.
pinball22 #12 Posted December 17, 2004 Sorry... you didn't mention whether or not you'd actually played it, and CV carts are a very similar size.
pinball22 #13 Posted December 17, 2004 Ah, finally found a pic of one... http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...8152625036&rd=1 Does it look like that? If so and it really is a 2600 cart, that's nifty, they must have put some in the wrong cases.
Mindfield #14 Posted December 18, 2004 I can't believe I might have an Atari cart in mypossession that AtariAge doesn't even have pics or a mention of. I'll take a pic of this Keystone Cops game next week... It's not a ble cart, a reg cart or the "???" white cart listed on the AtariAge Activision list. If it's a maroon label with orange trim, old-style type and a live-action pic of the cop chasing the robber in a circular border, and if the cart has finger grip indentations on either side of the top of the cart shell, then it's the Colecovision cart. Activision did different labels than their "standard" style when releasing on other platforms.

pinball22 #16 Posted December 18, 2004 Yeah, that's what I meant, that that was a pic of the CV version. And that either the one in question is a CV one, or there's an error 2600 one out there.
ActionGeek #17 Posted December 20, 2004 Yeah, that's exactly what it is, a Colecovision cart. Damn. Now all I need is a Colecovision to actually play it. I thought I'd stumbled upon some limited edition version of Keystone.
