The whole story is probably BS. They probably made it up just to get people to look at the auction and bid on it. No parent who honestly was trying to correct their kids behaviour would tell the media what they were doing.

Damn, Golden Palace Casino has bid it up to $5,000! And there is another $5,000 bid. Golden Palace is/was doing it for the advertising if/when they won. I wounder if they will actually be paid on this. 5+ hours left. I guess we will have to wait till the morning.

ended at $5300 o: If the buyer pays up, then it's one hell of a sale. But if the buyer bid only to jerk the seller around, the seller just pissed away more time and money in fees.

 

DS is a hard one to find this year but I doubt 5 grand for 3 DS are realistic.

I sincerely doubt they'll pay. Even if they did it for the advertizing they could have taken out a hell of a lot of banner ads for that kind of dough.

These sort of auctions always amaze me. I don't believe they would pay either. Don't really know if I believe that it was real or not either.

 

There were 3 systems, so with games & stuff it was well over $500 worth, but the auction closed at 10x that. Just ridiculous.

 

 

I heard about this on the local radio station on Friday. I just heard it was some angry parents auctioning off the kids Xmas. Then late that evening saw it posted on DP. It was still a reasonable price then, they had a reserve set for aprox cost of items. Then from there it went crazy $800.. $900... $5300 Unreal.

this auction reminds of one i seen last year, person was selling a perfect square piece of cardboard and it ended up selling for around 1000.00

Hmmm, I don't think it's really GP Casino - they just changed their name to that yesterday! Plus, look at the stuff in their feedback - RPG stuff, toy soldiers, stuff that I doubt a casino would buy or sell - unless they need to entertain their office staff!
