Goochman #1 Posted December 27, 2004 Ok, I need some help - Im a bit slow with this MyIDE stuff - I have an External MyIDE interface (ie, cartridge version) - I set it up with MyDOS a long time ago and sorta stopped with it. Now I see folks running ATOS and Sparta and I want to get things going again - I downloaded the files from the previous posts and here are my problems: 1. The ATOS site seems to be down - anywhere else to get ATOS??? 2. I ran the FDISK.BAS for MyIDE - Erased all Partitions and setup a new partition at 65535 sectors (like the intructions said) 3. I booted the 'chris.atr' version of SpartaDOS and ran the MY16D2.COM file - However the drivers for MyIDE were never loaded therefore it cannot format it............ 4. I tried booting a variety of MyIDE disks all of which dumped me into MyDOS which the MyIDE stuff came with What am I missing??? How do I get the external MyIDE drivers loaded prior to starting to modified SpartaDos disk?
Goochman #2 Posted December 28, 2004 Ok, I may have fixed 1 issue - though I 'erased' my partitions, my original 1,2 and 4 drives still existed - After deleting these and creating a new Drive 2 I was able to boot the Master Disk External and then choose the altered SpartaDos disk - However SpartaDos locks up after getting to the disk screen (I see the title but no D1:) - Ideas? Shawn Jefferson #5 Posted December 28, 2004 Goochman, I got the same thing when booting with the SoftOS. Pressing RESET gets me a D1: prompt, but nothing works after that. It works fine with the RomOS that comes with Steve Tucker's 32-in-1 OS upgrade.
