sandmountainslim #1 Posted December 28, 2004 is the most common one recycled for making homebrews? Pacman? Combat? I would guess ET but I read where they arent accepted cuz of the silver labels, also when the carts are recycled do they have to be scrubbed individually by hand or are they dishwasher safe? Thanks for any info. SMS
bjk7382 #2 Posted December 28, 2004 I would say combat is probably the most recycled. And I would guess atariage uses a heat gun to get labels off, since I can see the "glue outine" from the old labels on all the homebrews I got from them. Also when I took a label off with heat, it left the same glue residue on the plastic. Very small, but still noticable when not taken off with goo gone. yuppicide #3 Posted December 28, 2004 I see tons of Combat's out there, so my vote is for Combat. I'd like to make a game someday and every 1 in 100 would have a special rare case. I'd put them in the boxes then shuffle them in.
sandmountainslim #4 Posted December 28, 2004 I think its cool how AA and others take old carts you wouldnt look twice at and turn em into something that will actually be PLAYED and owned with pride, would be nice to see a new source of cart shells someday though for the day when Combat etc. starts getting thin and noone wants to trade em in.
