Game Identification from "The Wizard"

In the movie The Wizard, Jimmy Woods plays some kind of racing game in the little restaurant about halfway into the movie. I know the game isn't an NES game (obviously). The arcade machine is a F1 Dream cabinet, but the game is not F1 Dream either. In fact, the game looks similar to one of Sega's Outrun titles. For years I've tried to figure out what the game is because it looks very very familiar to me, but I just can't place it.

 

Anybody out there played or seen this game or have any guesses to what the game might be? (I'd take a snapshot of the game on the movie, but I'm not set up to do so at this time. I will later if it's needed to figure out what I'm talking about).

I know this is way after this was posted, but I actually know the answer. After watching the Wizard the other day 2020 (LOCK DOWN!!) I noticed an arcade cab called F1 Dream, but when I tried to locate the game in Mame the game, it was wrong. After a bit of research, I found out that it is actually called Top Speed
