Today's Thrifting...

Recommended Posts

ok i found an 520STfm at the same thrift where i got that major haul and my 1040STf

anyways i was like, um how much for this?

they were like, well what is it? i was like, it was over by the keyboards, they were like, it looks like a keyboard...but its got some more stuff on it...alright 10 bucks. then i was like, oh, *moan* i uhhh.. then they were like oh alright 7 bucks. then i was like alright, then they were like ok then they put a price tag on it, then i went to check out, they were like oh, whats that? i was like im not sure (wink wink) they were like ok, then they sold it me for another DEAL! i payed only 5 bucks for a STfm!

then this is the part that makes me mad.

I goto another thrift and look in the electronics, so i get over there and see some LYNX GAMES!!! I GRABBED EM ALL QUICK! then i see a lynx case! I FREAKED!!! A LYNX FINALLY i yell, i get to the case, open it up. no lynx. not anywere to be seen. just 4 games and a case. no lynx. none. some kid said, my friends steal from here all the time, if it can fit in a pocket and looks expensive, they took it. but why leave all the games and the case??

Damn... that sucks... luckily, you can find Lynx's on eBay for relatively cheap. I got mine for only $40, which I consider a pretty good deal.

That's better than what I find. Thrifting had been unusually dry lately, I've seen plenty of commons, but nothing worth getting excited about. However, I've been finding a load of NES games lately, so that's cool, would like to get some new 2600 stuff, though.

I grabbed Seaquest, Vanguard, Dig Dug, Phoenix, and Stampede (but its currently not working ) May not sound like much to you, but for me this is treasure. There were also a few other games I might go back and get on Monday!!! Wahoo!

Yeah, I see that "empty package" thing at a lot of thrifts in my area too. Damn thieves! Anyway, I did find a 2600 jr. with about 20 games yesterday for $15 but nothing I needed and ALL were common as hell. It came with an authentic 2600 power supply though so that was a plus. I found a super dodge ball for nes too ($2). A ood day if you ask me.
