AtariDude #4 Posted December 9, 2001 This person must be out of their mind. No way $425. Maybe it was a typo and they meant to type $42.50. Also this person has no established history. Do they really believe that someone would pay $425 for an item when they have no history?

sway3 #7 Posted December 9, 2001 Well, it actually makes a little sense. Here is what happened: Newbie surfs eBay. Newbie beholds Atari auction by Sumseller. Newbie says, "Hey, I, Newbie, have that exact Atari. Wow." Sumguy bids on Atari at same time Sumotherguy bids on said Atari. Newbie continues to observe. Bidding war of Sumguys commences. Newbie continues to observe. Sumthirdguy snipes auction with 2 seconds left and gleefully wins at $450 for 50 games. Sumthirdguy then happily paypals ~$500 to Sumseller, both Sums are quite content. Well, except the two bidding-war-Sums who lost the auction. *(This is not necessarily fantastic - I just got $300.00 for a 30 game system that did NOT include King Kong or Deadly Ducks, I assure you.) Newbie says to self, "Newbie-self, if Sumseller can sell that 50 game system for $450.00, surely you, Newbie-self, can sell your 55 game system for $425.00 easily... and then purchase the PS2 GT Pack with a cool Bennie to spare!" Hence your rediculous auction that will never get a bid... unless liquid_sky does something DRASTIC!! /shudder Want to see something interesting? When you research past Atari 2600 systems sold on eBay in the last 2 weeks by highest prices, three of the top 5 auctions are mine. Look Here I have a few more auctions on that page... even my brother has one.
