ATARIPITBULL #5 Posted January 7, 2005 Thanks, I've been spending lots of time working on my basement, trying to make it look like one of those places on MTV'S house of cribs, which will soon hold my soon to be bought 50 LCD TV.
yuppicide #6 Posted January 7, 2005 I'll get back to you in PM within a day or two when I find out what speed the RAM we need is. My friend might want it. What LCD you getting?! Sony, Hitachi?! I sell them at Circuit City.. or should say I used to when I was in that department.
ATARIPITBULL #7 Posted January 9, 2005 A Sony, plus I will get the surround sound system with it. I am busting my ass to make my basement look great, so I want the best that I can buy. I just received a new isssue of home Theater and a company called LG now makes 75 & 80 inch Hi Def TV's for your home!!!!!!!
yuppicide #8 Posted January 9, 2005 We carry the Sony 70" LCD HDTV and also a Hitachi 70" LCD HDTV at Circuit City. I've seen the Sony.. it's pretty nice. How far away from the television will you be sitting?! For a 42" they say you should sit about 8-10 feet away for optimal viewing, so add a few feet for a 50". I don't know where you're buying your television, but our Circuit City extended warranty is a little more expensive than Best Buy's, but ours covers more than theirs does.. most importantly the bulb inside. You can just call up when the screen starts to go even the slightest dark and they will change the bulb/s. Bulb/s cost about $300, so that pays for itself right there and will make your picture like new again.
ATARIPITBULL #9 Posted January 10, 2005 I would love a 70 LCD HDTV, but for my basement, a 50 inch will do, plus the sofa will only be about 8 feet away, since my wife has already taken over the rest of the basement.
