New ebay phishing scam.... You've been suspended!

I got this one today, and since my account is fine, I'm assuming it's a scam.

 

Dear eBay,

 

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to the violation of our site policy below:

 

False or missing contact information - Falsifying or omitting your name, address, and/or telephone number (including use of fax machines pager numbers, modems or disconnected numbers).

 

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way. This prohibition includes the registering of a new account.

 

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become due and payable.

eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method currently on file.

 

If you would like your account to be considered for reinstatement, please click on the link below, and provide us additional information.

I get at least one of those a week. Along with the one that says in the e-mail that you will have to enter bank/credit card number and PIN for it and the normal crap like that. I am tired of it.

I just got this one earlier today that I mentioned last night:

eBay request: Confirm your eBay account.

Dear rst3ralph ,

 

Due to recent activity, including possible unauthorized listings placed on your account, we will require a second confirmation of your identity with us in order to allow us to investigate this matter further.Your account is not suspended, but if in 48 hours after you receive this message your account is not confirmed we reserve the right to suspend your eBay registration. Such action may also be in violation of local, national, and/or international law. eBay is committed to assist law enforcement with any inquires related to attempts to misappropriate personal information with the intent to commit fraud or theft. I get at least one of those a day, and similar ones for PayPal on a routine basis. The only legitimate emails I get from eBay (not including emails directly related to auctions I am listing or bidding on) are once a month when I get billed. :)

I gave up on those phisher emails and they've been set in OE to automatically delete any eBay and Paypal email that doesn't have the right subject in it.

 

No matter how many gets sent out, there will be a few somewhere who falls for it and makes the scammer's life worthwhile.
