Halo 2.5

In an article at GameWinners, it says that with the release of the X-Box 2, There will be a new improved Halo 2 with updated textures, and all the stuff you wanted, but didn't make it into HAlo 2. Anyone else hear abou this?

Maybe that's what Microsoft intended with the so-called "ending" to Halo 2. Now you have to buy a new console to finally get to the real ending of the game.

I believe it about as much as I believed the Halo 1.5 rumor a few years back.

This sounds plausible, but I doubt Bungie would do a 'Tekken Tag Team', they have far too much pride in their work to just sell a repaint.

 

I'm sure there must be some kind of Halo 3 in the works, after all, M$ are really going to want to launch their new console with a Halo of some sort.

Well, they are doing more maps, but they didn't know if they wanted more weapons and vehicles, since both of those require playtesting to make sure they aren't too good or too bad.

 

Of course, the Scorpion tank still made it through, so who knows.

I think its kind of weird how they came out with Halo 2, and they scrapped alot of stuff from Halo, I mean they have the ability, but they should have put more into a sequal, and I think they should put more into it. Maybe that could be a reason they're doing it. Not that HAlo 2 isn't good.

Peronally, I'd love it if they added some of the old Halo maps via XBL. A lot of my friends still play Halo via system link and would love to be able to play those same maps via XBL. And it wouldn't effect non XBL people because you wouldn't need these maps if you didnt' have XBL since you could just play the first halo.

Having old maps would be cool. Think abou using the energy sword in Sidewinder.
