video game addict #2 Posted January 14, 2005 Who is raving lunatic? He must be some crazy NeogEo collector. No Atari collectors would drop that kind of cash.

orangest #7 Posted January 14, 2005 all of a sudden, the $80 i spent on a complete halloween many, many years ago doesn't seem quite so bad...
keilbaca #8 Posted January 14, 2005 He spent too much on it, I agree, must be a NeoGeo collector. I would spend that much on a cart, if I had the money, but it would have to be something rarer than Halloween....
adams_ale #9 Posted January 14, 2005 I would pay 350 for a CIB copy of Halloween or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. So if anyone wants to sell one you know where to look. I doubt the price will be so astronomical any time soon. I am curious as to whether or not people are using credit cards to pay for these items. That is one thing I would never do. Too tempting to continue and it's not very responsible in the first place, unless you can pay it off right away. I'm pretty sure that's how American Express works(have to pay it off at the end of every billing cycle).

I've never bothered to get a credit card. I'm irresponsible enough with cash.
homerwannabee #12 Posted January 14, 2005 that is way too high. you would think the buyer would get a clue when the seller is basically bragging about how the last one sold for $
adams_ale #13 Posted January 14, 2005 The copy that sold for 200 was just the cartridge and manual, no box. The winner didn't get such a great deal on that BIN.

I wonder if they were using Atariguide.com pricing? He has a ebay store and has pretty high prices set on all his wares. Maybe a closed auction of his with no bids maybe. Either way that would be very high for a loose cart.

ATARIPITBULL #17 Posted January 14, 2005 That was way to high for me, I would have only gone as high as $250.00 for it, but if you got the money and want it bad enough, you will pay for it.

It's a strange picture. Or perhaps they just really wanted it. Can't blame people I suppose if they have the money.
