video game addict #3 Posted January 14, 2005 I've been saving the packing materials Amazon ships me & labeling them with the month/year, in a few years I'm gonna be rich selling all this capsulated air from the early 2000's Fresh opened, still has that new console smell! I'd paid $800 for that!!
video game addict #4 Posted January 14, 2005 I'd paid! Yes I would!
spacecadet #5 Posted January 14, 2005 "A brand new, boxed, just been opened Atari CX-2600A" Uhhh.... When are these idiots gonna learn that "brand new" means never opened, and it only means never opened. As soon as the damn thing's been opened, I have no idea what you've done with it. You can tell me whatever you want, but for all I know you could have been using that thing as a doorstop for the past 25 years and just sprayed it with a coat of armor-all today for this auction. (heh heh) Getting to be a real pet peeve of mine, people with open-box stuff calling it "new". Obviously no understanding of why people look for real new stuff. Kinda like selling a car and saying "it's brand new! I've had it in my garage for 25 years!"
davepesc #6 Posted January 14, 2005 He put a lot of effort into that listing. I think the seller thinks he's getting $760 for his 4-switcher and 12 common games.
Lost Monkey #7 Posted January 14, 2005 He put a lot of effort into that listing. I think the seller thinks he's getting $760 for his 4-switcher and 12 common games. I usually look at auctions like that with a air of skepticism.. but your comment made me realize that the seller may actually be a wide-eyed docile type with "pie in the sky" aspirations, rather than a beady eyed rat hoping for a sucker to come along and fall for his trap.
