Hi, the prototypes commented in the news (commando, superman III, tower toppler...) are available on roms to download somewhere?

and ... notice the screenshot of commando in 7800 atari advantage catalog is very close to 8bit version...

I have both (and the NES as well). I've got to agree with Tempest that Commando on the 8Bit is one hell of a piece of programming ... you hardly ever saw games like this on the Atari 8-bit. Sculptured Software did a great job.

 

I still give it to the 7800 version (also done by Sculptured Software). It has better graphics, more colors, better sound (POKEY + TIA = six channel sound) and is easier to play with a two button controller.

 

The 8-bit one is pretty awesome for an Atari 8-bit game, but the 7800 does edge it out, IMO.
