Nice Atari 2600 lot $200 shipping?

Recommended Posts

How did he get the cart so fast? just to resell it in a big lot? Something sounds weird!

He didn't, he just reused the original picture from the auction he won. It's been cropped but still the saem photo from previous seller. He most likely doesn't have it yet, but plans to sell it with his collection.

And maybe just this week had something come up and needs the money. Decided to part with all of his collection. :?

That shipping is a bit extreme though. Most likely helping to avoid ebay fees, but damn if it didn't jump up hella fast too! :ponder:

Thanks for pointing out the shipping cost.  I had that on my watch list but I don't want to pay $200 for shipping and I don't know if I would have the time to drive to pick it up.

You buy gas and lunch and I'll go for you!

I would even be willing to throw in a case of beer.

From the auction...

Domestic shipping will be $200.00 for this item counting required insurance. This amount is high as the entire collection is quite heavy and will need to be packaged carefully and insured for the full amount.  I am located in Central Illinois and will gladly arrange for local pickup or deliver within 50 miles for a small fee.

"small fee" even for local pickup? Yikes. If shipping is $200, I'd get a quote on that small fee first.

As a buyer, I always take shipping into account when entering my highest bid. I'm amazed how some people don't. Early on, I got burnt on sellers who only ship cartridge lots FedEx PLUS the ol' "handling fee" :x :x :x

The small fee is for delivery within 50 miles, not local pickup.

Is the high bidder from Atari Age? I posted about this cause it was a great lot but now its way over what its worth. And add that shipping and then its way to high

331 "DIFFERENT Atari 2600 Game Cartridges" worth $1,237.00 ???

Its a good lot but the resale value is not $1,237.00 ... I would pay $630.00 if shipping cost was included. I think I will stick to buying small lots and reselling the games I already have for more games on ebay I dont have....
