Infogrames announced today that it raised $26.6 million from the sale of 11 million shares in its U.S. unit Atari as part of a larger plan to cut debt. Infogrames, which sold the shares at $2.55 each through its California U.S. Holdings unit, said it now owned 52.04 percent of Atari. On a related note, Infogrames shareholders will meet on Jan. 19 to vote on the terms of a refinancing plan, which entails the issue of more stock to help Infogrames repay 117 million euros ($152.3 million) in bonds due in July 2005.

Company in trouble, soon dies. Atari name synonymous with mud. Every Atari fan commits suicide. The word Atari is never mentioned again.

Let's all club together and buy back Atari for the AtariAge users! Imagine that, we would have the rights to all the games, hardware etc. People could make homebrews of REAL Atari titles! We can always dream . . .

Hi there!

What actually is this "Atari" part of Infogrames though?

Former offices of Hasbro? Microprose? Spectrum Holobyte? Accolade? Or really Atari?

My tip would be Accolade

Hey, maybe the new owner of Atari then renames it Microprose, hehe... ;)

Greetings,

Manuel

Well, They last belonged to Hasbro since it was Hasbro Interactive,

but are you trying to find out what was the first VG/CG company

to "live" in the buildings?

Did Hasbro even HAVE buildings for Hasbro Interactive?
