Hello Gentlemen, I got a query about a game called Tomboy, and there was little info on this sites databse, other than confirming the game exsists

 

Its been years since I played it, but as i recall it was bascially a Pitfall! ripoff, similar sort of gameplay, but much easier, with no crocodiles, no brick walls, and only rubys as the treasure.

 

I saw a copy in the local thrift shop, but it is closed on Mondays, rest assured I will aquire my copy tomorrow, but in the mean time, does anyone know anything about this game?

Just a Taiwan pirate, like the other pirates/hacks of Pitfall! (Dschungle Boy, et al.)

 

There are tons of Brazilian/Asian/European hacks floating around out there. Even Canadian retailer Zellers ripped off some foriegn hacks and released them in Canada 'til Atari sent them a C&D.

All I know about it is that it is one of many unlicensed hacks of Pitfall that are floating around out there.

I could not finish Tomboy, as it seems you can´t use the underground passages.

The box art is a straight copy of Quelle's "Dschungel Boy" ("Jungle Boy") hack, so it makes sense in that context.

The game was made by rainbow vision a PAL company, its about a rarity 4 in Australia.

Scored 106k today on this game but its absolutely poorly developed
