buyer got NARUed in a hurry about a week after the auction ended. i, however, managed to get my payment in a timely manner, but can't let anyone else on ebay in that, since he is a NARU. a successful auction with feedback limboed out, a new ebay experience for me after all this time...

I had the same thing happen with one of my sales. He won an auction. Promptly paid with money order on 3 days. Went to leave + feedback and was NARU'd. One less + for me also.

Jason (Trade-N-Games) showed me a 7800 system/boxed games lot where the original winning bidder was a NARU but had all + feedback (5) and was only a buyer. WTFIUWD (What The Fark Is Up Wit Dat)?!

People probably decide to deactivate their account if they are in good standings. You may ask why, but if the buyer doesn't plan on using the account, why risk keeping something active under your name that someone may get ahold of.

He may have bid an won 3 + auctions from the same person and never paid.. once the FVF goes through, that would be 3 strikes and a NARU..

I've never had a buyer go NARU on me but I recently made a purchase for about $100 and the seller was NARU by the time I got home from the office (about 40 min after I made the purchase). I had done a BIN and paid right away via paypal. I thought I was screwed for sure. He had just opened his eBay account about 2 weeks before and only had 20 feedbacks. As soon as I saw he was no longer on eBay I emailed him to see if he was going to follow through or if I would have to do a charge back. He replied right away and completed the sale. He never did explain why his account was NARU'd though. Overall it turned out to be a really nice transaction especially since I was certain I had been scamed.

On a odd note, I had people leave me positive feedback after I won a item but before I paid / sent out a money order. I even won damn items and the same day I would go out to send a money order I got the damn item in my hand ! This happend 2 times when people send there items before they get there payment.

 

Only NARU I came near was after I paid 40.00 for a Atari lot. Person had great feed back, after I won she got about 8 negative posts just after like a wave. I was the few that did not leave a negative to her and she sent me the items 75 days or 85 days latter and then she was NARU. Some people got burned $200.00 over old glass items like old cups or dish items that came cracked or never came that i seen in her feedback.....
