Lauren Tyler #1 Posted January 30, 2005 Just hooked my Saturn up tonight, and I've got an awful buzzing through the speakers, like some kind of interference. Never done this before, any suggestions?

monkeyd #3 Posted February 2, 2005 Hey Sega Saturn X do you think you can help me. I was testing some of my Saturns I had put away and when I got to one of them I started having these buzzing noises come out instead of the game audio. I've read about this on a few other places and they just say it is a RF problem and to replace the cable. The problem is that I was using the same A/V cable on all the consoles and this was the only one that did this to me. I know that this machine wasn't doing this prior to me putting it away. I was wondering if anyones ever heard this problem and if it is easy to fix. I attached a wave file of how it sounds. Sorry about the quality, I was just using my computer mic. The noises you hear were not made by the mic either that is how it actually sounds. There is also a good version which I recorded using the same cable and a different Saturn. Thanks badpd.zip goodpd.zip
sega saturn x #4 Posted February 3, 2005 Yeah that is 100% your RF cables or the conection to your tv. It has nothing to do with the system itself if i were you i would invest in some S cables. Since the RF suck any way but i have notives what bad quality those saturn RF cables are. I went through a pair and then decided to upgrade after a very similar problem. Sound has come in clear as a bell ever since.
DeV0 #5 Posted February 3, 2005 Agreed with the RF problem, I dont think ive ever been able to tune a saturn in properly. Some av or s-video cables would set you free,
