new G2F version + english instructions

Recommended Posts

:)

Well.... It goes slowly, but steadily (I hope) ;)

But is there all understandable so far (in English ver.)?? For example,

do you get this piece:

"As for (Y) parameter, it means how many lines is to be moved vertically (if that value equals 8-multiple, it will be moved together with inverse). "

????

Let me know, 'coz that was one of the harderst sentences to translate from G2F manual so far.... :ponder:

Perhaps I know what this sentence says, because I am no english man and know the meaning, before reading it ?

I know, it refers to the screen movement function. And I know that, if you want to move a charmode screen, you have to move the screen with a fixed 8-line-movement , up or down, to preserve the charset content.

yea, good to see the translation of the manual continuing so that more new users can take up the methods and produce new pics :)

That's understandable, perhaps it could read "As for the (Y) parameter, this means how many lines will be moved vertically (if you make the values in multiples of 8 (1 char height), the data will be moved together with the inverse flag"

We have guests staying over from Warsaw this week so I now have a Polish translator!! :D

yeah!! That's what I meant to write!!! :D

As you can see, some pure technical terms are rather hard to translate for non-Englishman like me. ;)

(I wonder who dare to translate MADS-crossassembler manual that is written completely in Polish)

interesting... Does they also want to work in the U.K. as many Poles nowadays do??? ;)

Yea, they are working here for one month. I guess there are a lot of people doing this. There is quite a large Polish community living here also.

;) That would be good, MADS sounds like an advanced assembler although I do like to use XASM and code genie.

Hi there!

English manual has been completely translated since now!

http://g2f.atari8.info/instrukcja_eng.html

The only thing you have to is to read it, learn and produce many, many colorful screen!!! :D :) 8)

BTW. the main program has also got changed:

v3.8.2.4

- added ability to define max. amount of chars per charset (128 by default)

- added ability to use long filenames for FNT, SCR, ALL, RAW, ASM and ASQ files thanks to new version of X-ASM (v2.6.0) !

- "Chars Fill" displays now info on 30 charsets (there were only 15 before)

- added saving labels before commands that modify color registers

- added new file format *.FAD, which contains some data (tables and routines) for smooth "switching on" of colors ; there are examples in ..examples directory :)

Fantastic!

I like English... My ability to read Polish is quite limited. :)

Great work.

Hey, I need to tell Adam to submit his latest JellyBeans Title Screen to the G2F Gallery...
