Godzilla #26 Posted February 2, 2005 Yea, turmoil & space master (esp space master!) get insanely fast. Dragonfire also gets painfully fast in the later levels Entombed and Quik Step rock the speed also, imho. Kaboom is still tops imho tho
Chris-in-NJ #27 Posted February 2, 2005 Reading this thread made me wonder why Dragonfire hadn't been mentioned, so I dug it out and played a few rounds, and when I was done I returned to the forums here and found that someone else had only just mentioned it Dragonfire is seriously fast, I think I've only passed the white dragon once since I re-obtained the game. Back in the day I had a nice Archer joystick that I used to play this and I typically did much better...
Tsukasa #28 Posted February 2, 2005 What about Taz? That game gets so damn fast....
Red 5 #29 Posted February 3, 2005 Just played Communist Mutants From Space for the first time last night. Very fast and fun game. I think it's definitely the fastest of all the 'space invader / phoenix / megamania' type games.
Godzilla #30 Posted February 21, 2005 Commie Mutants is my fave 2600 DFA game by far. Just AWESOME
Lauren Tyler #31 Posted February 22, 2005 I always thought Pole Position was fast. It was even faster than the arcade version!
Godzilla #32 Posted February 24, 2005 night driver may be ugly, but it was a lot faster than enduro or pole position. street racer also had some game modes that were damn fast. and super breakout with many balls going can be mad fast, as can fireball. Mental Vortex #33 Posted February 24, 2005 Agreed regarding Night Driver. Even after all these years of playing it, it's still one of the fastest games out there for the 2600. Same with Kaboom. I'll have to dig out Entombed as I haven't played it in a while. Don't really remember what it's like. I think even Bugs got a bit fast after a while, too.
