If you don't know who or what he is, where'd you get his name?

I don't think that email is current. I've never dealt with him, but did receive one of his game catalogs once. I thought it was neat, but this was around 2000 and a B&W scan that's been shrunk down to fit into his catalog (catalogs were fairly small like 4"x6") just was not impressive to me when he could have just as easily set up a free website & post color scans in much better detail. He was a member here & on DP but I haven't seen him post in the last couple years unless he goes by a new name now. I believe he posted as vmagic on the forums.

I was reading a post here today and someone had mentioned him as a source for games. I remember a while back someone had given me his address in a PM and told me to contact him for some of the games I was looking for. Unfortunatley I had misplaced/deleted the address and now I am just asking around in plain sight if anyone knows how to get a hold of him because I am looking for a few.

I used to buy games from Frank fairly frequently before I found other collectors on the net. I've never met him or even talked to him but he seemed to run his business fairly. His catalogs were very simple but they had a certain charm to them and I was always excited to receive one in the mail. I think he's still in business but I haven't bought anything from him in a long time.

Three thumbs up for Frank. He's an excellent dealer as far as I'm concerned. I've traded with him and bought from him at least a half dozen times. Never a problem.

My only criticism is that he seals the boxes and envelopes like they are confidential- they are hard to open he uses so much tape ;)

Somehow it doesn't surprise me that a guy who uses Lemmiwinks as his avatar would notice that.

Three thumbs up Frank.

Gross dude. :woozy:

Extract mind from gutter, please. I only have two thumbs. If I meant 'two thumbs and a boner,' I'd have said that. It was more of a 'this one goes to eleven' comment.

Thanks for the references gang. I tried emailing this guy but no answer. Just so I know, all I have to do is just mail this guy a dollar and a note saying I want to subscribe to the catalog and then he sends it to me, right? Seems like kind of a slow way to do things.

he did have e-mail for a little bit, then he got a bunch of viruses. and called it quits as far as computers go. (i don't blame him) i tried to talk him into going on-line with his catalog, but that was before all the problems.

if i find that last catalog he sent me i will PM you the address. (incase it has changed)

I actually had a different gutter-minded interpretation... I was thinking of three thumbs being put up Frank, since the comma was missing.

The guy is pretty much not internet. I have emailed with him recently, but he's very quick with mail, so it may be faster than you think.

I sent a money order recently, and I got my stuff within a week. The catalog is snail mail, no doubt. And AFAIK, it's postal money orders only. I find that he can have really cool stuff at reasonable prices, so it's worth the trouble of paper and pencil.

Oh Frank? Yeah that guy is a blast. He's always jumping out of the car when we get to a red light. A real character that guy. I remember one time he threw his burrito at a couple of hispanics washing our car, man those were the good ol days. You'll never forget Frank if you ever met him, that's for sure.

Looking for an old issue of Video Magic that I placed an advertisement in - around 1993. I was looking for help to make the first Colecovision homebrew. If anyone has the issue I'm looking for, I'd be very thankful for a scan or would even buy it if it is for sale. Thanks in advance. Michael

A new topic would probably work better instead of bumping a topic that last had a post 8(!) years ago. I understand that it's somewhat related as it was posted in Video magic but you'll do better with a new topic and better thread title.
