Trouble using PCAE on Windows XP

Hi All! I cannot get the great PCAE emulator for ther Atari 2600 to run on my XP machine. A kernel 32 error comes up and the screen to report the error to Microsoft. Any ideas if a newer version is coming out or how to rectify this problem.

I am using version 2.6 on my winxp proffessional and its working great.
