anyone playing NES online?

I've come to grips that I'll never get to play the VCS vs anyone online, so I'm thinking about the NES. Anyone actively playing? How's it work? Much lag? Is it fun? Easy to set up and get going? Any recommendations on which emulator(s) does the best?

I've never heard of an online NES vs service. Your best bet would to be to poke around the forums over at the site I linked for you.

There was an emulator a few years ago that actually worked. I had one of my kids upstairs playing my other kid downstairs Tecmo SB. They played over a phone line through the internet on dial up. It was kind of choppy but yet playable. I have no clue which emulator it was. Yeah, I'll go search around.. thanks..

The Nestopia emulator uses Kaillera for netplay. I remember trying it one time, but I don't think it liked my firewall.
