Wow! His power supply brick labels are custom and made in China! He has gone to alot of effort to make these available!

I just fixed a broken 7800 power supply .. cord was broken at the brick .. so I gently broke the glue holding the brick together .. removed the existing wires .. cut to shorten the existing cord and resoldered in place. Works great!

I actually resorted to putting the jack from a busted Gen 1 in one of my 7800's.. works great..but its nicer to have an original system...

I actually hate propriatory plug/ sockets .. no problems until you have a broken wire which is common with power bricks.

So I have put a standard 2.1 mm barrel socket inside my 7800 and use a standard power supply. I am planning to modify three more 7800s in this same way. I think that it is great that this guy is making new replacement power supplies for the 7800 .. but I can get standard power supplies for $3 new.from BGMicro.com

If someone has bought one of these - please post a review. I'm thinking of buying one as a spare for my home-hacked one..
