Rob Mitchell #4 Posted March 12, 2005 Wow! His power supply brick labels are custom and made in China! He has gone to alot of effort to make these available! I just fixed a broken 7800 power supply .. cord was broken at the brick .. so I gently broke the glue holding the brick together .. removed the existing wires .. cut to shorten the existing cord and resoldered in place. Works great! Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA

Lost Monkey #7 Posted March 12, 2005 I actually resorted to putting the jack from a busted Gen 1 in one of my 7800's.. works great..but its nicer to have an original system... Nice goin'!
Rob Mitchell #8 Posted March 13, 2005 I actually resorted to putting the jack from a busted Gen 1 in one of my 7800's.. works great..but its nicer to have an original system... I actually hate propriatory plug/ sockets .. no problems until you have a broken wire which is common with power bricks. So I have put a standard 2.1 mm barrel socket inside my 7800 and use a standard power supply. I am planning to modify three more 7800s in this same way. I think that it is great that this guy is making new replacement power supplies for the 7800 .. but I can get standard power supplies for $3 new.from BGMicro.com Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
