I highly doubt we'll ever see it in America, did F-zero AX ever make it to American arcades? was it ever intended to?

I've seen it in arcades.

 

Anyways, weren't the arcade and GC versions closely related?

I'd be very surprised if a port of this Mario Kart game wasn't planned.

FZero in the arcades and the GCN version were very closely related. To the point where a GCN Memory Card works in the arcade machine I beleive. Players can win upgrades and such in the arcade, then transport them back home to the GCN version

Yep, thats right, although I haven't tried it on the japanese arcade and the american game. Doubt it'll work though I seen that at TGS this year, that game looks promising, and I can't wait to get it.

The same can be done with Mario Kart's arcade incarnation. Well not to take back to the cube, but to take to other arcades I beleive.
