Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Pitfall 2,Halloween, Spikes Peak Do

Recommended Posts

I must say that Tucson Arizona must be the rare Atari game capital of the world. Maybe I don't have any compitition out here, but I have sure been lucky. Are these games really that hard to find in the wild? Please share similar stories. -Jeffrey

Those are some incredible finds. My best rares in the wild find would have probably been, Robin Hood, Tomark the Barbarian, Sir Lancelot, and two other Xonox double enders all from one woman at a flea market in Denver Colorado. At the time I bought them, I didn't even know they were rare.

I am curious. Neither one of you mentioned the cost of the games when you purchased them in the wild. Did you have to pay a high price or was the person who was selling it to you not aware of how rare these games are?

I paid 2.00 a piece for texas chainsaw, halloween and spikes peak. Pitfall 2 was 1.00. No one around here must know the value and rarity of these games. To them they are just more atari games. We know better, don't we.

Yes, yes...those scary, run-down shops on the scary, run-down side of town are very dangerous. Stay away! They've got nothing at all you'd be interested in, anyway. ;-)

p.s. If you think I'm kidding...when I used to collect handhelds, I picked up the following in *one* trip to *one* of the thrift stores in the projects I used to frequent (none of my friends would ever go: too scared)

Speak & Spell

Speak & Math

Milton Bradley Microvision w/Pinball cartridge

Mattel Football I

Mattel Football II

Tiger CopyCat (Simon clone)

all with battery covers. Whoot!
