Arcade Game Auction this weekend

Hi all. For anyone interested, there will be a Video Arcade Game and Pinball Auction this Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa at the state fairgrounds. Its a decent auction and rather fun. It starts at 10 AM and you can get there earlier and test and play the machines before the auction starts (or even during, as they go to each machine individually to auction it off).

I went to one of these in Des Moines about 6 years ago. I picked up a fully fuctional Arkanoid for $120, great looking Double Dragon for $75 (!), and Super-Pacman for $180. I had a pal that went last summer and they had an Asteroid machine that was in perfect condition that went for $175. Supposedly, no one wanted it. I think it is mostly business owners looking to get a game or even the few arcade owners left. But it is, of course, open to the general public.

I might be making the trek back to the great state of Iowa for this, but there is another one in May also.
