Coleco kid vid in the wild

Recommended Posts

Well -- the flea market was a complete bust today. It is cold (for Florida) and there were many vendors missing and less than half of the normal number of people. I ran through in about 20 minutes. I always feel a little down when I see nothing so I stopped by a thrift on the way home. They said they had no video games, but I just happened to look through the tape players because I want want one to go with my Supercharger (even though I have never found a game for it). I found the Kid Vid voice module by Coleco. I knew what it was from another post and I bought it for $1. It is is nice shape, but missing the wires -- (but it runs on batteries). How rare is this voice module and what exactly is it? Will I ever find the connectors for it -- should I go back and look for them? It turned out to be a good day. -- RG

The kid vid works. A little alcohol, new batteries, and it plays. I think I'll go back in see if they just happen to have the cable or tapes laying around. By the way, the website to make the cable is a great help. This was a nice find.

Does anyone have a kid vid with games and tapes? Did you buy them all together or find them? So how well does the voice and action work?

I have no Kid Vid games and not the Player for it.

I wish I had. But everytime it goes to high on ebay, or it were only sold in USA.

I think I must wait long till I get it
