DracIsBack #26 Posted March 5, 2005 I collect for the NES too, though I only have a couple dozen carts so far. It's one of those systems that I'm torn on. I have a lot of great memories of specific NES games and many of the classics from that time are NES exclusive so I think any video game fan from the 1980s needs an NES. On the other hand, it is plagues with far, far, FAAAAR more reliability problems than every other console I have ... put together and multiplied. Front loaders always need to have their pins replaced. Games need to be constantly cleaned. Controllers wear out. I dig the NES games, but the system is a pain in the arse. Hydian #27 Posted March 5, 2005 The fleas have been pretty crappy for a while. Eastland is ok and Trader Jack's on I-79 is really busy in warm weather, but a lot of the others like the one off of route 8 are on life support in general, let alone for games. Draikar #28 Posted March 6, 2005 bastards, I cant find any NES games in the wild in UPSTATE NY. Last Time I found one was in 1992 in Indiana (I remember because that was the day I moved to UPSTATE NY, land of the bastards that don't seem to play NES or anything elts ! I looked last year at garage sale's many MANY times and nothing.... I have to buy mine on ebay so I only have 80 NES games.
jeepnut24 #29 Posted March 6, 2005 I have renewed faith in collecting. Found a whole 2600 setup with driving controlers, Paddles, two boxed controllers and a bunch of games at the Goodwill. No NES though. Plenty of that around though. Thats what makes the NES fun, you can still find games for it around. Try Gamestop and EB in some areas. I missed out on the 2 for 1 last month, but not next time...
oesii #30 Posted March 6, 2005 It's hard to say no to a nice NES cart in the wild I was up to about 200 NES carts but I was never going to play most of them so I decided to thin my collection to only the games that I had before or that I would play more often. I still have about 70+ games, great system
Damon Plus #31 Posted March 6, 2005 70 games. Not bad, considering it´s 1/4 of the carts released on Spain and that they aren´t as cheap or easy to find as on the USA.
