AlexKIDD #1 Posted March 6, 2005 someone got me this recently as a gift and i was wondering if it's any good or i should return it for a different one?
moycon #2 Posted March 6, 2005 I heard it wasn't very good, but that's just hear-say, never tried one myself. I think just about all the sticks seem to have something not quite right about them. I would just keep it if it's a gift. One persons crap is another persons gem, so just give it a go and see how you like it.
christianscott27 #3 Posted March 6, 2005 i have it, it sucks, its worth more unopened as something to look at. i actually like a lot of the INTV games, i actually intened to play this thing, its god-awful emulation married with unsuitable controls. it cheapens the otherwise good name of the blue sky rangers to have released this thing. i swear i'm not being melodramatic, it really does suck. RickHarrisMaine #4 Posted March 6, 2005 My son actually loves this thing. I was going to put it on eBay, but I can't now. Like I said, the kid loves it. He's also only 5 though! We play Atari together regularly too.
Merrick Bill #5 Posted March 6, 2005 The problem with emulating the Intellivision is that there were 16 buttons and a disc plus the inserts. The controller used for the plug-in game is nothing like the original controller so it doesn't really simulate the Intellivision experience. Also, the games are emulated, and some are better ports than others. It would be cool if they made an intellivision plug-in that looked like the original controller. The Atari plug ins look like an actual Atari joystick and paddle. Some of the emulation is off but it's a much better simulation of the Atari experience. Bill the biggest problem with this unit is that the games arent emulated, they are just ported to work on an NES, the graphics are greatly modified from the originals. secondly, the unit recycles sound fx for all the games and most of the music (one of the INTV's more memorable features) has been stripped off the games.
