Alex #1 Posted January 8, 2002 http://www.atariage.com/company_page.html?...600&CompanyID=3Sean Kelly has submitted screenshots for five M-Network prototype games that first resurfaced at CGE '99. These titles include Locomotion, In Search of the Golden Skull, AD&D Treasure of Tarmin, Anteater and Rocky & Bullwinkle. While we have had some low-quality screen photographs in the AtariAge database, this is the first time clean screen captures have been published on the web. Unfortunately we don't have the ROMs to these games, but we hope you enjoy the better view.
moycon #2 Posted January 8, 2002 The pages on the AD&D games say that they probably wont ever become available because of the AD&D name... Why? Do they own the games? Can't someone just take the AD&D out of the title? Anywho...How come the Rocky and Bullwinkle game didnt become available when the movie came out in 2000? Alex #3 Posted January 8, 2002 Intellivision Productions owns the ROMs. Wizards of the Coast owns the D&D name. Can't someone just take the name out of the title? I really don't know from a legal standpoint. I've sent IP email asking them for more details or if they plan to do anything with them, but never got a response. Albert #4 Posted January 8, 2002 I also sent Intellivision Productions an email about these ROM images a while back and never got a response. But then, it also took a *YEAR* for me to finally get all three cartridges I ordered from them, so it seems they do everything slow. At least the games have been dumped, so hopefully someday we'll all be allowed to partake in them. ..Al
ubersaurus #5 Posted January 8, 2002 I'm sure that some of these will surface, though maybe not the D&D ones, at least for a while. Ah well, this is neat enough to see.
+johnnywc #6 Posted January 8, 2002 It would certainly be great to have these available to play (or even better as released games). I had an opportunity to play Anteater, AD&D Treasure of Tarmin and AD&D Tower of Mystery at CGE2K1 and I must say that all 3 were quite impressive. The Rocky&Bullwinkle game looks like a lot of fun - does anyone have information on the gameplay or object? Thanks,
liquid_sky #7 Posted January 8, 2002 Now I must be the first to ask Sean something... will you be so kind as to lend me a rag to wipe up the drool after seeing thse?
Ze_ro #8 Posted January 8, 2002 Damn... I must say, I'm impressed. I hope these see the light of day somehow. I'm especially impressed with the graphics in "In Search Of The Golden Skull"! Anteater looks quite nice too... Didn't think they'd be able to do it very well on such a limited system. It's too bad these never came out, as they're probably some of M-Network's best work. --Zero
ubersaurus #9 Posted January 10, 2002 Yeah, They look awesome. I think Golden Skull looks sweet too.
