Htbaa #3 Posted March 9, 2005 I'm sorry for the filesize but the quality would get real worse. But it's still easy to read it.

Htbaa #5 Posted March 14, 2005 I've been toled it's quite rare and not much people know about it or remember it. At some pricelist from JSII it would cost about $30...

Dan Iacovelli #9 Posted March 22, 2005 I mentioned this on JS-II: I have the first one issue,I loaned to Al at the end of MGC'04, He scanned them so he can post it on Atari age.(yes, he did send it back to me if your wondering(btw: thanks for putting it in the mylar with card board, reminds me how comic book stores sell thier comics)) So if anybody wants to see issue #1 of the catrap newsletter, please let Al know. Albert #10 Posted March 23, 2005 Thanks for posting the second issue! As Dan mentioned, I have nice scans of the first issue, and I really need to put them online (along with the second issue). I will add these to our Magazines section. Even though there are only two of them, they were created by Atari and definitely worth archiving in that section. And please don't apologize for the file size, I'd much rather have higher quality scans to work with. Thanks again! ..Al
Htbaa #11 Posted March 23, 2005 My scans are at a higher quality, they just had to be compressed for the web.
jaysmith2000 #12 Posted March 24, 2005 I was lucky enough to land both issues of the Cat Rap. I think I got them from a batch of stuff I bought off Clint sometime back. Pretty cool little piece of Atari history, glad to hear they're going to be available for everyone to view here. Great stuff!
Albert #13 Posted March 24, 2005 Does anyone have some background information on these? As in, when they were released, and how they were distributed? Were they freely available? Did Atari mail them out, could you pick them up at stores, were they only sent to developers and/or the press? Just trying to gather up some information so I can write a short blurb when I put them online. Thanks! ..Al
Htbaa #14 Posted March 24, 2005 The issue says '94. I will try to find the e-mail of the person who sold it to me. Maybe he can tell me more. Albert, how can I send you about 10mb of high(er) quality scans?

Htbaa #16 Posted April 11, 2005 Sorry for not sending them to you yet. Do you know if gmail is capable of sending such big attachements? My current provider has a problem with it I think. I have a gmail account, else I could upload it to there, change the pass and share it with you until you've downloaded them. I don't use the account anyway so it's no problem for me. Certainly worth a shot, though. ..Al
Htbaa #18 Posted April 11, 2005 Check your inbox. I hope you didn't got them double because I think something went wrong with that stupid gmail. I don't like that interface

Shamus #21 Posted October 11, 2017 Wow, after checking out issue #1 it's clear where a lot of the misinformation surrounding the Jaguar came from: it came straight from Atari! Page 5 deals out the BS with a huge shovel. I can see why developers were initially interested, seeing specs and capabilities like that, and then getting disillusioned later once the reality of what it really could do (vs. what Atari said it could) became apparent. My, oh my.
Zerosquare #22 Posted October 11, 2017 (edited) Wow, after checking out issue #1 it's clear where a lot of the misinformation surrounding the Jaguar came from: it came straight from Atari! Wait, you didn't know that? Where do you think "850 million pixels per second" and "the Jaguar is only a little bit less powerful than the PS1" came from? +madman #23 Posted October 11, 2017 I love that Atari was unsure if the Genesis supported composite video output.
