Halo 2 expansion disk now official?!?!?!

Looks like its now all but official. 9 maps and extra movie content. Id be willing to bet its foundation plus 8 new maps. Im also willing to bet that it will be 1 new map each week or so for download on LIVE for free up util the 24th when the disk arrives in stores.

Nothing official at this point from Bungie. That is my guess though. If not there are going to be even more people upset. Right now all we know is whats on the eb site, and what was posted on the korean site last week. 9 maps and some extra video with a price tag of $20 and release date of 5/24/05. Its just speculation about them being on live.

Not even close. The OXM DL's are custom game types. Im talking about full Multiplayer maps. 9 of them. Along with video content of who knows what. Maybe them napping or vacationing instead of fixing bugs??? Totally different thing though. Custom game types can be created by anyone and these are just some of the common ones. Dawn of the Dead, Roadkill, etc...

Yeah, I will be pretty pissed if you have to buy the extra maps - I don't frequent bungie's website a lot, but when I was there, I do recall that they were working on FREE content as well as fixing bugs and stuff

Nothing is official out of bungie just yet. I think this is to keep those without LIVE happy and get them the updates and new maps also. Thats just a guess though.

EB pulled the plug on the website for the expansion. To late though, the news is all over the xbox sites. Big whoops there...

Yeah they have little write ups and a screenshot of the new maps - They look great. "Containment" looks like a lot of fun!

Yes, it will be possible. You'll have to wait till the end of summer for it to ship though. But its desigend with this in mind.
