I have one that I picked up awhile ago in a lot of XE xtuff but there was no original box.

 

I also have another that says Zipper or something like that embossed on the top.

That is *definately* different than the standard CX40 - it has embossed text above the boot. Most likely was from a Brazilian pirate system.

Odd, although I think I've seen a stick like that before. Third-party knockoff of Atari's joystick maybe?

i can't really see from that picture, but i have a cx-40 looking joystick that has "gemini" embossed on the top and "vg-170" embossed on the lower right corner. i thought at first it was a standard looking stick for the gemini system, but later found out that it was its own company that made atari controllers. i actually have it up for sale in this auction; here's a better picture of it:

I used to have a Gemini-made copy of Atari's standard issue joystick controller for the 2600 back when my family first owned one.
