Gee MARCO, thanks for jumping on those Donkey Kong Marques after I clearly listed in this post I wanted em and emailed 'pitbull' right away..

I guess listing that "I'll take those' in a post is a open invatations for others to try to buy the shit before you have a chance to hear back from the seller.. thanks again marco..

Before you start accusing me of being a bad trader and AA member, here's what happened: I saw pitbull's listing, I emailed him and asked him if the two donkey kong bezels were still available. He replied they were and I then emailed him back to say I would like to buy them. That's it.

 

So what I did was ask a seller if something was available or not. I did not force him to not sell to you, I didn't even know you wanted them. I didn't see your initital post untill I read your accusation in the above post. I didn't know if others had contacted him. You just immediately assumed all kinds of stuff about me and posted this negative feedback. All I did was email the seller about his sale, just like you did.

 

If you think you were wronged and are entitled to these bezels then by all means ask the seller to sell them to you. I will email him also, telling him he can sell them to you. Next time, before you make public accusations, please contact the other party. You may find out they're not the horrible human beings you portray them to be.

just pointing out the obviouse.. I had flat out listed in the forum I would take them.. I was told a shipping quote would be sent my way thursday..

 

Not to make a big deal of this,, but I find it just rude to be asking about if they were available when I clearly listed in the forum I'd take em, if it was me, I'd of not of been rude like that and would accepted someone else was interested..

You are pointing out the obvious? You obviously did not read my reply. I did not see your claim until this morning. I saw the sale list, the pics of the two bezels and I hit the "email" button.

 

And even if I had seen your claim, what is wrong with expressing interest in items? Sellers often get more than one person interested. Numbers 2, 3 etc just go on the waitinglist and come into play if the deal with #1 doesn't work out. But, again, I hadn't seen your claim.

 

The seller explained to me what happened. I was the first to offer him the cash for the bezels, not you, and he decided to sell to me. He would be perfectly happy just selling them to me, but I told him to offer them to you. I hope you'll enjoy your bezels.

If you're really interested in something, take 2 seconds to send off a PM. Otherwise posting publicly in a thread doesn't qualify. Be happy you got them. If it were me, I wouldn't have given them up, especially after being publicly badmouthed before getting the whole story.

look at the time post, I posted about two minutes after he posted the pic,, than I DID SEND A PM ALSO RIGHT AFTER POSTING!

My pm said:

"Ill take the two 'kong headers.. wanna just trade for the telegames box?"

He replied with:

"No thanks, I have stopped all Atari buying for a while, but let me know if you still want to buy them, I can get the shipping cost by this thursday or you could come and pick them up"

That was on Tue Mar 22, 2005 10:46 pm

I replied with:

"ill take em, just let me know how much;)"

Than they were sold to Marco

Tell me,, how the hell did you miss my posting when I posted it just 2 minutes after his pic was posted (look at the time stamps). If you didn't see that post.. you'r either blind or lying! And yes.. it is rude to follow up on it.. no matter how you try to 'lighten it up' by just saying 'I was just enquiring'..

Bottom line.. I had heard back from the seller with 'I'll give you shippng cost THURSDAY or you can come by and pick them up".. than they were sold because you emailed asking about them.. so am I at fault here????

i traded with Marco many times.And i can tell that everything was correct and fair.Marco is one of the best traders,i know. So Marco,you should not care about this other guy.And this other guy should be careful to call someone "Rude"

its backstabbing, plain and simple, and it is rude to follow up on somthing like that when another long time member of atariage has basically placed 'dibs' on it..

no, i not only voiced my opinion,because i dealt with Marco.I know him from several meetings and Video game contests and he is not "RUDE"

To call him "RUDE" is not nice

And like i said,at the end the seller decides,who gets an item.And if another one gets it and not me,then i accept it.

If i am seller,i offer my items and decide(if more people want it),who will get it.And in a forum,you should always be nice and never attack any persons in the forum.Not Marco and certainly no other guys.

Post a message to Marco privately and STFU in the public forum. The point I was making is that you WEREN'T first either and that you DIDN'T need to go down the road you did with Marco. It seems like every month or so you get into it publicly with someone here over a trade or sale.

 

Remember the Starplex Silver controller and how you sold it to someone else before I even had a chance to reply to your PM demanding the money immediately??? I guess it's okay when you're a seller, but not when you're a buyer.

I did not just offer trade, I said I would 'take them' and then offered 'would you like to just trade for the telegames box' wich ataripitbull had asked me for several times in the past and told me he deffinetly wanted it and I had been holding it for him (I was going to make it a complete unit, not just a box).

So, I had what I thought was a done deal.. than it was sold to Marco.. and I should not be tiffed??

Most my items did sell for my asking price wich meant alot of real colletors were happy wich made me happy,, but latly, its just not worth the hazzel. Ebay (god I thought I would never say this) is actually less hazzel than I've had here lately.

Povlok, your beef should be with Ataripitbull, not Marco. I am surprised that you have attacked him here, when it was Ataripitbull's decision to sell the marquee's to Marco. You should have sent a private PM to Ataripitbull to complain instead of immediately slinging accusations publicly, and at the wrong person no less. And ultimately they are Ataripitbull's marquee's to sell and he can decide who to sell them to. I doubt he went out of his way to sell them out from under you. Again, you should have PM'd Ataripitbull to talk to him privately. I'm sorry you did not get the marquees, but they are ONLY VIDEO GAME MARQUEES and in my opinion it's not worth getting that upset over (especially since these are not rare marquees!)
