Jess Ragan #26 Posted March 30, 2005 Then the other guy goes to a restaurant and buys a great dinner with the hundred dollars he has left in his pocket while the hip, cool dudez with their PSPs settle for ramen and the pizza cheese stuck to the bottoms of their ovens for the next month. CPUWIZ #27 Posted March 30, 2005 Is the guy on the left playing Rally X? Tempest It's the loading screen for Ridge Racer, you can play the game while it loads.

+Random Terrain #29 Posted March 30, 2005 How long are the load times? I heard a guy on TV say up to 30 seconds. You have to wait longer than that for some crappy web sites to load, so no big deal.

Not on the bus, you don't. Load times suck and I wish they were better on the PSP.

joeybastard #35 Posted March 31, 2005 And I thought it was funny Joey so I could care less if you thought I wasted my time. Luckily Humor is relative. You read my post wrong. I didn't say posting it was was waste of time, I said posing the picture was a waste. You're right in that humor is relative but needing 4 people to make a lame joke just doesn't seem worth it to me. Now I understand. Yes, I didn't waste my time setting the pictue up, Im just sharing it with a new group. Found it elsewhere. If I had either, Id be gaming, not wasting time setting up silly jokes. Probably a group of teens at the lunch table or something.

Albert #39 Posted April 3, 2005 Hey, I'm still waiting for someone to match the load times of the Atari 2600...the fastest loading videogame system ever! The nice thing about 2600 games is they don't have all the logos and splash screens of games on newer consoles. Most 2600 games don't even have a title screen! Pop the game in, hit the fire button or reset, and you're playing! ..Al

Soon it will be part of most major games. Exactly what I need in my games, advertisements. On a seperate note, why is it that there are so many ads prior to movies these days??? Albert #42 Posted April 5, 2005 On a seperate note, why is it that there are so many ads prior to movies these days??? I haven't seen too many (real) ads in games yet, but I expect this will slowly change, depending on the game. Gran Turismo 4 is pretty much a non-stop advertisement for just about ever car made, not to mention all the signage you see on the various courses. As to movies, yes, the commercials before trailers are shown are becoming rather tiresome. Fortunately here in Austin we have the Alamo Drafthouse, which is a small chain of theaters that shows new films as well as older movies. They often show video and movie clips related to the movie you're about to see. For Robots, they were showing all sorts of old movie and television clips of Robots from the 50s--was very amusing. Plus, they server food--they take every other row of seats out of the theaters and install tables in their place. Very cool. ..Al
