Dude... that is friggin sweet.

Only thing I disagree with is the BIOS boot screen... I always liked the warming welcome of the Atari logo but other then that ... that 7800 ROCKS!

Too bad I don't have any spare cash.... argh!

The ATARI 7800's Title Screen isn't nearly as long as the ColecoVision's, but I like the idea of playing a game as soon as I turn on the console, not whenever the console decides that it's ready.

This looks to be a great system. The only thing you left out was swapping the proprietary power supply jack for a standard one.

How much do you expect it will go for?

I didnt' bother to switch out the power supply because the existig one works perfect. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Plus I like to keep some parts of it authentically original.

As far as how much it will sell for, who knows. The latest modded ColecoVision that I sold ended last night and sold for $155.00, while typically they have been selling for $225.00 - $250.00. But the one before that, sold for $515.00, plus I got some outside of Ebay business because of it too. This one definately cost me more than the ColecoVision's that I've done, but I have the reserve set the same $149.99. Now obiviously I'd love to see it sell for one hundred million dollars, but I doubt it. I think it will fetch a decent price because it seems that a lot more people are into the Ataris than the ColecoVisions, not to mention that there were a ton more games available taking into consideration that the 7800 was backwards compatible.

Is the audio stereo?  If so, how is the sound from POKEY games like Ballblazer separated?

No, it's just fake stereo. But it's better to have sound coming out of both speakers rather than just one.

Could be useful for me (to play NTSC 7800 games... well ANY NTSC in proper colour!)... depends if I want to fork for postage.

If you're interested, the shipping weight is 9 lbs, 8 oz.

Yeah which is far too much. Hmm... dump the games, dump everything... just take the console itself and nothing else. That'll lighten it up :P

(I have a PAL 7800 so I've got everything I need here)

Apart from the power... question is, does a PAL 7800 take the same internal power as the NTSC one? What does the transformer say?

9 VDC @ 1 A

9 Volts DC

1 Amp (1000 mA (milliamps))

It's probably a bit out of budget now... haven't decided. Didn't think the reserve would go as high as that...
