Ferris #26 Posted April 6, 2005 Two of my friends work for Microsoft on the xbox project and accodring to all of the little comments they have made to me over the past six months it sounds as if Microsoft is definately considering it but is waiting to see how the PSP does and then improve on that. Supposedly all this week one of the teams has been taking apart PSPs to see everything thats going on inside. Not that it means much. At least there is an interest. And Microsoft has other interests in the world other than video gaming so I can guarandamntee you that their motivations to take on Sony with the PSP is not purely due to gaming desires. ZylonBane #27 Posted April 6, 2005 I want a portable system with actual storage space for my mp3s. Then buy a portable MP3 player. Tech is not yet at the level where you can throw a cell phone, digital camera, PDA, game system, MP3 player, and tricorder all in one box at an affordable price. And from a pure usability standpoint, single-function devices will always be preferable.

I think they are deffinitly keeping it in mind, and waiting to see how the PSP does, is a great Idea. I think they will release one, that is a little better then PSP, with a couple more features. Well at least thats what I wouldn't mind seeing.

Video #30 Posted April 16, 2005 Lets put it this way... IF I was to ever pay $250 for a handheld, it better either hook to a TV right out of the box, or play Halo right out of the box (or have some free games or something) Handheld technology is getting cheap enough, and effecient enough, the only real question I have is when someone will come out with a combo unit that plugs into a base station at your house to be a console or detach to be a portable. Foxy Cleopatra #32 Posted April 16, 2005 Leagues are a measure of distance, not depth. Well, the book is still good. I also enjoy Star Wars even though making the Alderan run in 5 parsecs (or whatever) means the same as "I made the trip to Toronto in 20 miles"... now to wait for Star Wars fans to say "Well d'uh" and non fans to say "What?" or "Who cares?" Kessil run... 12 parsecs... I fact check. 831573[/snapback] Its spelled Kessel I don't know why, but whenever someone suggests a handheld made by Microsoft, I think of something that weighs about 20 pounds and runs off a car battery. But I bet you could get a cute backpack with it... something pink maybe, with a Hello Kitty iron-on.......

And google should know; there were 166,000+ returns for kessel run -- that is an aweful lot of sweaty, pizza faced, sci-fi obsessed webspace.
