NovaXpress #1 Posted April 6, 2005 I found out today that the bartender from Tapper apparently was fired and became a lumberjack in Timber as well as embarking on a bizarre performance-art career as Domino Man. Check it out, it's the same guy. Many characters appeared in multiple games, but few changed their employment (and game mechanic) when they did so. The king of switching career paths is, of course, Mario. First he was a construction worker (and a bad one judging by his designs), then a plumber, then he took a bunch of mushrooms and went on to become a race car driver, boxing referee, tennis player, pill-pushing "doctor," bongo drummer, hell I think he was even a WalMart clerk in one obscure GBA title. That bastard needs to choose a path and stick with it.
+FujiSkunk #2 Posted April 6, 2005 Pity the hero of Adventure. Time was, he was the center of attention, with a whole game that revolved around him. Eight years later, he's but a mere kneecap, forced to share his spotlight with the other blocks that formed a "more recognizable" hero. And now he's unemployed, his job snatched away by those darn polygons.
NovaXpress #3 Posted April 6, 2005 No, you're confused. You're thinking of his twin brother.

joeybastard #8 Posted April 7, 2005 The O2 guy never found a set career either. Bounty Bob almost became a firefighter, does that count?
MegaManFan #9 Posted April 7, 2005 That hits on something I've always wondered: What does Sonic do for a living when he's not saving the world from Eggman/Dr. Robotnik? Is he... * A postman? He could deliver the mail REALLY fast. * A pizza delivery man? No need for a car or truck, but would he be paid for mileage? * A pace car for NASCAR events? He could easily outrun them y'know. * Personal 2-way communicator - you type it and he runs to the recipient.
+FujiSkunk #10 Posted April 7, 2005 That hits on something I've always wondered: What does Sonic do for a living when he's not saving the world from Eggman/Dr. Robotnik? He probably doesn't do much of anything, resting on his laurels in between Robotnik's invasion attempts. He strikes me as somebody who's a rebel-without-a-cause type when there's no cause. Alexius Wronka #11 Posted April 8, 2005 Sonic probably reverts back to regular hedghog form. Only when Robotnik invades does he anthropomorphicaly mutate and defend mobius.

J.Max #13 Posted April 8, 2005 Pac-Man has had a lot of jobs, too. And a lot of relatives. My question about Pac-Man, though, is this: what was Ms. Pac-Man's maiden name?
sigma #14 Posted April 8, 2005 Does MegaMan revert back to a worker robot when the world isn't in danger? His sister is a maid, and it sure would explain why he loses the new weapons from game to game.
jeepnut24 #15 Posted April 8, 2005 Mario has to be the king of this club. Look at how many times he has pimped himself out to make a buck... Golf Tennis Dr. Mario Paper Mario ....
