COMTARI #1 Posted April 7, 2005 I've seen some low cost game systems such as a Sega Master system and a few NES consoles at local thrift stores. The consoles look like they are in good shape, but they do not include controlers, power cords or tv cords. What is a good source to find cords and controlers for these older systems? Dones #2 Posted April 7, 2005 Good question. You could start in AA's own marketplace forum and ask if anyone has something specific for sale. Forum member goatdan has a store that sells hookups and controllers among other things. Ebay is also a good place to find almost every type of hookup and accessory for your old consoles. In Ebay you can also find 72-pin connector replacements for NES as well as replacement analog sticks for N64 gamepads. You can also check jandman.com, liksang.com or playasia.com for gaming stuff. For ac adapters and tv hookups you can also search Radio Shack or MCM Electronics for a replacement or universal adapter. MCM also has replacement 62-pin connectors for SNES. Malc74 #3 Posted April 8, 2005 Bear in mind also that many thrifts simply strip off all the cords/controllers and sell them separately. Have a good look around just in case they're all piled in a corner of the store somewhere. Somewhere in the vicinity of the cash (a display cabinet or shelf behind the register) is also a good place to check for controllers and power packs.
