Gabriel #1 Posted April 18, 2005 Hey. I got a Nintendo DS. I paid a whopping $20. Actually, I paid $20 and a Burger King value meal. I got a near pristine boxed system with all inserts and accessories.

Maybe tell us how this came to be, and why it involved a Burger King Value meal. -Tim
n8littlefield #3 Posted April 18, 2005 Well, I can beat you - I paid 37 cents for my DS. But my story didn't involve Burker King food, so I'm intrigued.
danwinslow #4 Posted April 18, 2005 I got one for a single french fry and a ball of lint. No, not really. Let's hear the BK tale.
Gabriel #5 Posted April 18, 2005 Well, the post was longer, but I edited all the system war flamey bits out. My DS owning friend decided he no longer wanted it. He asked me to make an offer for it, since I'm a videogame fiend. I offered $20, soley because it has a nice screen to play GBA games on, not because I really wanted one right now. Then there was some good natured ribbing about how he was a dumbass for buying it and also that I had to be a bigger dumbass for buying a 32X when it was new, etc, etc. Finally, he decided he'd rather have $20 than the DS. He was also short on cash and wanted a burger, so I bought him something at BK. So, I'm set for if Advance Wars DS ever comes out. Until then, it's a great little thing to play Namco Museum on. n8littlefield #6 Posted April 18, 2005 Nice story - stupid friend - but nice story! You should at least think about picking up something for the DS - I have Mario, Feel the Magic, and Zoo Keeper (which I just got for 20 bucks) and they are all really good. But you're right, for GBA games the picture quality is amazing, I love playing the Konami Arcade on it. Cheap DS's are great - mine was 37 cents, the stamp I used to mail my voucher in from one of those freecrap.com websites!
