Kaboom!

I've been playing Kaboom and i forgot how challenging it is! At first, i plugged the cart in and there was nothing but a blank screen. So, i blew inside the cart, then it worked. I really did'nt do to well because it gets so fast! The "mad bomber" seems intelligent and unpredictable! I remember my cousin beat it and won a patch from Activision aound 83 or 84. What are your thoughts about Kaboom!?

Sitting on a high score of 64k (and plan on getting higher tonight) tells you how much I love this game. Several people maxed it, and several more have gotten in over 100k before. It is an old favorite, one I will NEVER grow old, and the very first game on my video game video I made. I show it to people, they ask if the video is sped up. I tell them, no its not, and I have showed a few friends in person the game. They didn't believe me until I brought over 2 witnesses, and they both said, nope, its in real time. They did a jaw drop... hehe.

I suck at Kaboom! and my my cart dosnt work that well anyway, AND only one of my paddles works, AND my girlfriend broke up with me.

It's my favourite VCS game, and probably one of the most timeless games (any era). I haven't maxed the score out yet, but I'm working on it...

Make sure you have some pretty smooth and clean paddles when playing - Helps a lot..

My score for Kaboom! is 1547. Is that pretty good? I can't seem to get a higher score than that, it gets so fast it puts me into a trance! But, i'll keep trying.

3000 was the score you had to achieve to earn a patch from Activision. I takes some practice. Your paddles need to be good or it will be extremely difficult. Good luck!

My favorite 2600 game. Im terrible, but I can't put it down when I play it. Im hoping a new potentiometer in my paddle will help out a bit and cause less skips to occur. A true classic that will never fade with time.

This is one of those games I never had as a kid. I picked it up ten years ago or so, played it for 5 minutes, and didn't look at it for a long time. It was actually these boards, with everyone hear raving about it, that made me try it again. Now I love it. It's the ultimate twitch game.
